Adam G. Singer
Mr. Singer's practice focuses primarily on commercial civil litigation with an emphasis on contract disputes and fraudulent misrepresentation claims. He has represented a breadth of clients ranging from large companies to small businesses to individuals. He is committed to understanding the client’s vision for success and strives to realize that vision by quickly and efficiently resolving the legal matter at hand. Mr. Singer is prepared to advance his skills in the courtroom when settlement would fail to appropriately vindicate his client’s rights.
Prior to joining Salloway Law Group, Mr. Singer was associated with the international law firms of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, and Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld LLP. Before private practice, Mr. Singer served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sidney H. Stein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
During law school at the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Singer served as a Senior Editor of the Journal of International and Economic Law. He is a member of the New York Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
· Represented several Fortune 100 companies and hedge funds in investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory bodies.
· Defended an international insurance company and a major investment bank in distinct multi-defendant derivative actions.
· On behalf of the Audit Committee of a well-known media entity, investigated and assessed the merit of the company’s possible claims against another party which it considered waiving as part of a new agreement.
· Negotiated a no-jail plea agreement with state prosecutors for an individual accused of over a dozen counts relating to criminal fraud and represented him throughout his cooperation with prosecutors including multiple rounds of testimony before the Grand Jury.
· Represented real estate companies in litigation arising out of loans amounting to tens of millions of dollars.
· Represented the creditors’ interests during the bankruptcy litigation of a Fortune 500 company.
· Received a favorable judgment in state court for a claim of fraudulent inducement against a major U.S. airline.
· Negotiated a favorable settlement against an international hotel chain for claims arising out of its fraudulent behavior and breach of contract.
